Our Flagship Community Event: Kids Field Day

Our flagship initiative, Kids Field Day, embodies this mission. The annual event merges wellness, arts, and intergenerational learning to bring joy, movement, and unity to community spaces.

Over the past five years, Kids Field Day has engaged more than 1,000 young people and their families across New York City—creating spaces where parents, caregivers, and youth participate side-by-side, strengthening family bonds and building community pride. 

We’re proud to collaborate with local community businesses like Black Seed Watermelon LLC, whose generous donations help make each event a celebration of culture and community care. Additionally, our strong partnership with New York Department of Education and the NYC Parks Department ensures that our programs continue to thrive in safe, welcoming public spaces that reflect the heart of our neighborhoods.

Research shows that active play increases social-emotional engagement by up to 40%. Through this initiative, TheSchoolGirl Inc. continues to transform ordinary moments into opportunities for connection, growth, and community wellness.
